PRIMAT D.D. successfully completed the ReSafe project

PRIMAT D.D. successfully applied for the Spirit agency's public call "Support to startups, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in strategic sustainable and circular business transformation in 2022-2025". In phase B of the aforementioned public call, the company began implementing the Resafe project on January 3, 2024 and successfully completed it on July 31, 2024.

The purpose of the project was to leverage the sustainable features of security safes by bringing back into use discarded, non-functional, or obsolete safes. Market analyses were conducted, customer needs and supplier readiness to participate were evaluated. A pilot project was carried out, during which the company fully refurbished a used and non-functional safe, making it fit for use once again. All necessary technical documentation and protocols for the required activities were prepared, with a special emphasis on ensuring the same level of product security as new safes.

In the future, the company plans to target environmentally conscious and sustainability-oriented customers with its new range of ReSafe safes. Material and energy savings in the production of security safes are substantial. If we succeed in meeting even a small portion of the market’s demand for safes by offering refurbished, tested, and certified safes that are practically indistinguishable from those produced in regular manufacturing, we will have made a significant step toward environmental protection. The company aims to build its recognition on the principles of environmental awareness, sustainability, and limited resources. The ReSafe safe series will play a crucial role in enhancing this recognition.

The operation is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. This investment is part of the measures funded under the Recovery and Resilience Plan mechanism. Link: www.noo.gov.si
